Calendar of Events
For historical interest (and just to remind ourselves how old we
all are), here is a brief history of Integra &
E-Quip. This product evolved from our experiences
in hospital design and asset-management, so some of the key events
in those fields have been included.
Highlights
- 1989 - The creation of Activity
DataBase
Dr
Peter Bishop, working on a sabbatical from his post as Head of
Mechanical Engineering at Cambridgeshire College of Arts &
Technology, writes a version of Activity DataBase for the IBM PC
as a research project for NHS Estates. Since those early days ADB has evolved as the computer
industry has matured, through MS-DOS & SUN UNIX to 16- and now
32-bit Windows versions. Things have moved on since 8" floppy
disks on CPM! - 1991 - Integra is formed
Dr Peter Bishop, Peter Spencer & Graham Stanbury establish the
Integra partnership in Ely, Cambridgeshire. Integra's first
project is an interactive vector graphics system for ADB -
1998 - UK Release of Optim EMS
Integra work with Hewlett Packard to bring a medical device
asset-management system to the UK marketplace. HP later becomes
Agilent Technologies, and then Philips Medical Systems. Optim
EMS becomes the market-leading high-end asset-management system
in use in UK hospitals.
- 2006 - Work Starts on CodeMaster
Recognising the need for an application to integrate
the design, equipping & asset-management processes, and to move
equipping away from spreadsheets, Integra start work on E-Quip. The original working-title for the software is
CodeMaster
- September 2006 - CodeMaster Version 1.0.0 Released
Right from the first version, CodeMaster puts the BOQ
at the heart of the equipping process.
- 2007 - MTS Gain Exclusive UK rights to CodeMaster
MTS recognise the need for a reliable way to manage the
equipping process, and sign an agreement giving them exclusive
rights to CodeMaster
- 2008 - CodeMaster Re-Branded as E-Quip
With the release of version 1.14.0, CodeMaster is now known as
E-Quip - The product is continually benefitting
from its use in major hospital equipping projects.
- 2/2/2009 E-Quip 1.16.0 Released
The latest version of E-Quip is available
on the downloads page.
